DotNetNuke Banner Ads

Banners may be added to your web site, allowing you to display ads for other companies and products and services. You can show them for free, or charge a cost per click.

To add banner ads to your page:

1. If you are going to host the banner on your web site:
   Using the file manager, upload the banners that you wish to have rotate on your web site.
2. Under the admin menu, select "Vendors"
• Click "Add New Vendor", located at the bottom of the vendor listing table
• Enter the required information on the "Add Vendor" page, and any optional information you wish.
• Click "Update" at the bottom of the page.
• The Vendor page will again be displayed. Click "All" or the first letter of the vendor's name that you have just added to locate the vendor.
• Click the pencil icon next to the newly added vendor, to bring up the "Edit Vendor" page.
• Expand "Banner Advertising" by clicking the plus icon, and click "Add New Banner"
• Enter a Banner name and banner group for the banner.
  Note the banner group entered, as you will need it again later.
• To set the image for the banner, select "URL" or "File" for "Link Type"
  URL may be used to call the banner from the Vendor's web site.
  File is for selecting a banner on your site, which you may have uploaded previously or wish to upload at this point.
• Edit any other information, including cost per click (if any) and click "Update" at the bottom of the page.
• Edit any final information on the next vendor screen, and click "Update" on the bottom of the page.
3. Browse to the page you wish to have banner ads on, and select "Banners" from The "Select a Module" drop down menu at the top of the page.
4. Select the Pane to insert the module, and any other options, and click "add"
5. Once the module is loaded in the page, click "Banner Options", located below the module.
6. In "Banner Group", enter the name of the group created in the above steps.
7. Select any other banner options you would like, and click "Update"

Your banner should now be displayed on your web site.
More banners can be added to the rotation by adding more vendors, and placing them in the same banner group.

Other groups can also be added to other pages by following the same steps above and using a different banner group name.
